Aprašymas
The book of Proverbs was once unanimously treated as part of the "wisdom literature" of the Hebrew Bible - uninterested in the history of Israel, the memory of Sinai, or the covenant there established. This book calls that assumption into question. Far from the outlier it has often been assumed to be, this volume locates Proverbs firmly within the social discourse of late Persian-period Yehud: tightly integrated within the group's library of authoritative texts, deeply rooted in its social memory, and directly invested in the socio-political happenings of its time.
